mission
Our mission is to encourage feminist perspectives and methodologies within sound art & to question normative performativity. This feminist perspective considers the different agents that conforms sonic aesthetic fields. Agents such as bodies, materialities, contexts, spaces, territories, technologies, performativities and ecologies. With this we aim to generate practices beyond fetishized and utilitarian views within sound art.
We reinforce corporeal technology and nourish the process of relational and bodily situated discovery. We seek to establish a shared ground and a safer space that allows for the investigation of mutual intimacies, making connections and unlocking sensitivities as ways to deepen awareness of our shared realities and embodied potentials. By creating a series of experiments and workshops centered on working with the body/ies, we want to counter the fetishization of forever more advanced audio technology within the field of sound art. Our works are an enactment and extension of our growing practices as a collective which addresses and challenges inherited patriarchal structures and pre-existing hierarchies in sound art and performance art.
